EQUIWORKS
I have always been passionate about horses since the age of 8. I have owned them, shown them, and they give me some of my greatest joy to this day. Their care and well-being has always been what is most important to me.
A year ago my horse started showing signs of tightness during her training. She had always been supple and willing, and doing very well and then we seemed to hit a wall. Following a full veterinary work up…exam, blood-work, a full body scan, and even a chiropractic evaluation and adjustment, a veterinarian who uses PEMF in her practice asked me to try it. I must admit I was a huge skeptic, but at this point I had nothing to lose.
Much to my surprise, the next day my horse felt much softer and was moving freer. Still being skeptic that the results were PEMF related, I waited and tried it again. I continued to use PEMF and after a few sessions I was totally amazed at the results. I had my horse back! She was willing, supple, happy to work, and now enjoys herself in turn out again! PEMF Therapy sessions then became part of our regular maintenance, just like my farrier.
Recently my mare injured herself in turn out, it looked like she struck the fence with her front leg playing with another horse across the fence which caused her to get wood chips embedded in her skin. The issue did not seem super extreme at first with no swelling or heat in the leg so we decided to sweat her leg so the body can have the chance to reject the wood chips naturally. The next morning her leg blew up with major swelling so we called a vet out immediately. It appeared she caused damage to her superficial flexor tendon and to the flexor tendon sheath, the vet cleaned out the wound removing all wood chips but was concerned that she may not fully recover and be 100% sound again.
From there we began our recovery journey. She needed her leg wrapped and ointment put on the open wounds consistently and stall rest. A month passed with little to no improvement, the swelling went down but the open wounds did not appear to be getting better, it seemed as if her body was having a hard time recovering. I then contacted my PEMF practitioner at the time and asked her to be treated again with special attention to her leg. After a couple sessions I began to see improvement and was astonished at how much progress she had made after a few sessions of PEMF. PEMF gave her body the extra support she needed and allowed the body to heal itself more efficiently. I decided to then purchase a machine and this is where I started my journey to become a certified practitioner.
I have studied, trained and now became certified through the AOPP (Association of PEMF Professionals) and MagnaWave. I spent the next few months working on my own horses and horses of friends and barn-mates. Soon I had requests from others to pulse their horses and other small/large animals which allowed me to launch Equiworks LLC!
My clients include horses from all disciplines: dressage, barrel racing, reining, jumpers, trail horses and retirees. I work on dogs with arthritis, hip and spine issues, and provide general overall wellness sessions for pups from 10 pounds up to the big fellows close to 100 lbs. I have some livestock clients from sheep to bulls. All are amazed at the difference they can see in their furry loved one.
Everyone enjoys the benefit of PEMF Therapy! It really is a blessing to be able to provide a non-evasive therapy that helps animals feel and perform there best!
